By Amanda Draper, National Content Director at Money Mentor
Tell us about yourself Zoe:
I am a current sophomore at Baruch College - The City University of New York (CUNY) through the Macaulay Honors College at the The City University of New York (CUNY). I am currently exploring my options, but am leaning towards doing a major in Marketing Management with a minor in Biology. I am a born and raised New Yorker.
What are you involved in on campus?
I am a member of the Habitat for Humanity club, Gastronomy club, and Business club at school. I also work in my school's career office editing résumés and cover letters for students.
What do you wish you knew about applying for financial aid, scholarships, or for college in general?
When applying to college, I wish I knew about scholarships that I could apply for.
What makes your college special?
My college is special because I am part of two different colleges: Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York and Baruch College. Being part of both, I have double the resources, double the people to meet, and double the opportunities. Macaulay is also a great program because it offers free tuition, your own advisor, a free laptop, priority registration for classes, and a chance to get study abroad money.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
Because I am not sure what I want my major to be, I do not know what I want to do after I graduate. All I know for sure is that I want to be happy with whatever I do and surrounded by colleagues who love what they do too.
